The day of Ben’s book signing we decided to go out to breakfast. I suggested O’Brady’s . We have not been there in a very long time. I bet we only go out to breakfast about 3 or 4 times a year. I wish I would have taken a picture of the outside of the restaurant and also one or two of the inner decor. I do not think that anything has changed in there ever, including the wait staff and the regulars. I can never remember a time when there was not a war veteran sitting up to the breakfast bar discussing the world’s state of affairs with the kitchen staff and hosts. When Ben and I were dating and first married we used to go there quite a bit, usually with Granny and Sam in tow. It was a great place to ease a hangover. Now that we’re older, and maybe a bit wiser, it is just a great place to get an incredible breakfast. I have never had a bad meal at O’Brady’s. Not once! We ran to this restaurant for no better reason than it was on our way out of town. It was a good choice. We had lunch at about 1300, leaving about 1415. Raegan got a fish sandwich and a salad. She liked it, and said that the ranch dressing was some of the best she has had. Ian got a cheeseburger. I tried a bite and it was very good. The fried were also very good; they were a bit puffy. I got a patty melt and enjoyed it was perfect. I also got a cup of chili that was very good. We got dessert; Ian had a scoop of ice cream, and Raegan and I split some coconut cream pie that was pretty decent. Service was prompt. Our check was $48.20. Good stuff, I would not mind eating here again. …
